The exhibition expresses the spirit of the journey as felt by the immigrant, the restless wanderer, and the intrepid adventurer. Sustaining the journey is history, memory, and identity. The airport gateway, featured in the title painting, is a transition from one place to another, and is a metaphor for life’s departures and arrivals, endings and beginnings.
